10th Annual Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil

image

is the theme of the upcoming 10th Annual Candlelight Vigil. The Candlelight Vigil is an annual event that honors survivors of domestic violence and raises awareness of domestic violence in the community.

Reflecting the increasing awareness of domestic violence in our communities, what began on the front steps of the Washington County Courthouse is this year going to take up a full block of downtown Hillsboro, including the Civic Center Plaza!

On October 4, 2007 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., hundreds of candles will illuminate Main Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. The event is open to the public and free of charge. Join us to show your support for domestic violence survivors. We’d love to see you there!
