Intern

“This internship saved my life. I had first started at another organization, and it was the worst job experience of my life. A friend, who was then an intern with Domestic Violence Resource Center told me about an open spot with the agency, and I applied. It’s been the best experience in my entire life! The supervision is amazing, getting client hours is easy, work schedule is flexible, and it’s a very pleasant environment to work in. Anyone who can get their internship here is lucky, and in my case it also led to a full time job.”

-- Chalaina Dietz, former intern, now counselor with Children’s Intervention Program

Thank you for your interest in joining our team as an intern! Our work would not be possible without amazing people willing to give of their time and energy.

Interning with our agency offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful and rewarding change in your community:

  • You will develop an understanding of domestic violence and its impact on your community.
  • You will help victims and survivors of domestic violence to be safe and empower them to have safe and healthy relationships.
  • You will get connected to an outstanding team of passionate and dedicated professionals, who are on the front line of the drive to end intimate partner violence. (See photo: interns and staff mingle at the 1st Volunteer/Intern Program Luncheon in June 2007.)
