IN-KIND DONATION NEEDS
Community support is the primary way we are able to provide necessities for survivors at Monika’s House Shelter. Families come in with very little. Diapers are a high need during the first few days of shelter until other resources can be accessed.

Journals and day planners are great for survivors. Journaling is great for self care and planners can help them be more organized.

Gift Cards to craft stores (JoAnne’s etc), craft supplies are used in play therapy, child care, self care groups and celebrations!
Transportation
Bus tickets are used to assist survivors with transportation to DHS appointments, NA meetings, clothing closets or to job interviews. Bus tickets can be purchased at Fred Meyer’s.
All day bus ticket $4.75
All zone 2 hour ticket $2.35
Or $23. 50 for a pack of 10
All zone 2 hour youth $1.50 or $15 for a pack of 10

DONATION GUIDELINES:
1. Please call before donating any item, even if it was on our list of needed items. We are unable to accept unsolicited donations.
2. Out of respect for our clients all items should be new or in excellent condition. A good rule to consider is: If someone were to donate these items to you, would you accept and use them?
3. Generally speaking we are not able to pick up donations from your location. There are exceptions, but we would greatly appreciate it if you could deliver items to our business office. Please call us for directions.
