IN-KIND DONATION NEEDS
Before you purchase/donate any of these items, please contact Sarah Keefe at 503.640.5352 x 308 for details. Monetary donations to help purchase these items are also greatly appreciated. Thank you!
June 2010 - Here is our current list, in order of priority:
1. (Industrial strength washer and dryer for Monika’s House Shelter. Not needed at this moment in time, but is a recurring issue.)
2. Curtains/blinds for Monika’s House Shelter windows—to provide greater privacy & insulation.
3. Master gardener/landscaper volunteer for planning as well as executing an existing garden plan!
4. Shop-vac. We go through vacuum cleaners more often than we like, so something more industrial would be fantastic.
5. Specialized art supplies for our children’s program. Some items we currently need: Glue Sticks, Paintbrushes, Fleece Fabric, Yarn, Crochet Needles
6. Spanish translation services.
7. Childcare support services.
8. Twin size sheet sets for Monika’s House Shelter beds
9. Journals for counseling clients.
10. New underwear, in it original packaging, for children and adults of all ages and sizes.
11. Cleaning supplies
12. New towels for Monika’s House Shelter clients.
13. Off-site storage space. This would help us facilitate donations that otherwise we have to turn away!
14. Do you work at or own a grocery store or bakery? Monika’s House Shelter needs weekly bread donations. Can you pledge to donate bread weekly for a month? For two months?
15. Gift certificates for pizza—for Movie Night weekly for our clients at Monika’s House Shelter!
16. Tools for Monika’s House Shelter.*
17. Video game console for older children/young adults at Monika’s House Shelter. Most of our board games, books and toys are for younger children, currently. A video game console with appropriate video games would be a great addition to the Shelter, which can house children up to the age of 17.
18. New sweats for clients at Monika’s House Shelter of all shapes and sizes.
19. Tickets to the zoo/movies/children’s museum/sporting events/Chuckie Cheese for shelter clients!
20. Trimet tickets/passes are always needed.
(* Items have special restrictions/specifications. Please call for more information.)
