Help empower survivors of domestic violence during Domestic Violence Awareness Month at the Autumn Affair: a Celebration of Oregon Wine to Benefit the Domestic Violence Resource Center, on Friday October 8, 2010, at the Stockpot Broiler on 8200 SW Scholls Ferry Road in Beaverton, OR.  The wine tasting event runs from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.  Enjoy wine by six local wineries, and a cocktail reception-style dinner by the Stockpot Broiler.

Autumn Affair is one of the premier annual wine tasting events in Washington County and is vital to supporting the only non-profit serving specifically survivors in Washington County, including the county’s only emergency shelter and 24-hour crisis lines for survivors.

The Domestic Violence Resource Center is the only non-profit agency in Washington County, Oregon serving specifically survivors of domestic violence. Their free and bilingual services focus on prevention (community outreach, presentations, trainings, education, resource library), intervention (Monika’s House Shelter, legal advocacy, counseling, group support, art/play/filial therapy), and empowerment (Survivor Empowerment Fund, advocacy, resources, referrals, safety planning).
