Invitation: Giving Back
For many years, the Hillsboro Rotary Club has supported our efforts to empower everyone to have safe and healthy relationships. The Hillsboro Rotary Christmas Dinner and Auction raises thousands of dollars every year for worthy causes. Last December, Domestic Violence Resource Center was again one of the beneficiaries of the event. The Rotarians raised a record $7,114 to benefit domestic violence survivors. Thank you, Rotarians!
Healthy relationships are a two-way street. Today, we invite you to help us help our friends at the Hillsboro Rotary Club and show appreciation for their efforts. The annual Rose Sale is one of the Club’s major fundraising activities; the sale proceeds are used for the Leonard Gratteri Vocational Scholarship Fund, which supports Hillsboro high school students in continuing their education with technical training at Portland Community College or a trade school.
The cost for a dozen roses is a bargain: $25, with $10 qualifying as a charitable contribution. Each dozen is delivered in a windowed box with accompanying greenery. Peter Korchnak, who represents Domestic Violence Resource Center in the Club, will deliver the roses to your office on Thursday, March 13, 2008. Surprise your partners, relatives, associates, coworkers, customers, or employees, and help empower kids to continue their education! (And what a way to make amends for Valentine’s Day...) Don’t forget to ask around to see if anyone you know would want to do the same.
Please by February 29 with the quantity you would like, as well as the delivery address and a 2-hour window for delivery. Have your cash/check ready for Peter when he delivers the roses.
Thank you for your support!
Note: The Club cannot guarantee the color of your roses. Make your checks payable to the Hillsboro Rotary Foundation. Receipts for the charitable contribution provided at delivery.
