Current volunteer opportunities (last revised 5/1/2008):

Childcare Support
Our agency is in need of childcare support for survivors of domestic violence.  If you are someone who cares about children and has love and patience to offer them then we want to partner with you!  Shifts are available multiple days and evenings per week and this opportunity is also open to teens and young adults in child development tracks in school.

Professional Skills
Do you want to use your professional skills to empower those less fortunate than yourself?  If you are a yoga instructor, nutritionist, lawyer, employment specialist, hair stylist, or other helping professional who wants to support survivors of domestic violence, we want you!  We are accepting applications for anyone wanting to partner with us to empower survivors.

Special Expertise
Do you have expertise or skills as a plumber, landscaper, general contractor, electrician, etc?  Do you want to donate some of your time to a non-profit serving the community?  We are actively developing a database of people like you who we could call upon to help as needed!

Administrative Support
We are always accepting applications for volunteers who can support programs and projects of our agency with administrative skills.  A volunteer could work with a specific program or project, or they could volunteer to come in and work on whatever is needed during their time.  Upon receiving your application, your name and contact information will be entered into a database and we will contact you as we have openings available.

Please be advised that for all of the above-mentioned opportunities an application, background check, and confidentiality agreements are required.

Volunteer Groups
Groups who would like to volunteer for our agency for a service project can also contact our volunteer line at 503.640.5352 x 308 or email us at (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
